Hi Took a chance with the scope today,and the results are below.(not great) Was only out for about 2 hours before the SUN took over with the high sun and heat. If mounting the aerial in the loft, consider putting the dongle underneath it with a long USB cable going back to the PC. Mount the aerial as high as possible - it's all line-of-sight at these frequencies.Ĥ. Use a simple J-pole aerial tuned to 1090MHz - it's only about 4" high and much better than the stock aerial.ģ. Stick with the R820 dongle, don't buy the E4000 version because a) it is less sentiive than the R820 version and b) the static protection diodes are missing on many E4000s, so the front-end is vulnerable.Ģ.
